Terms and Conditions
Orders placed through MauriMeals are subject to restaurant availability, successful payment authorization through ANZ eGate Hosted Payment Page, and compliance with MauriMeals marketplace policies. By placing an order through the platform, customers acknowledge and agree to the following conditions:
1. Order Acceptance
- All orders submitted through MauriMeals are considered requests for food preparation and delivery or pickup services.
- Restaurants reserve the right to accept, reject, or cancel any order based on:
- Item availability
- Restaurant operating hours
- Delivery coverage area
- Capacity limitations
- Suspected fraudulent or unauthorized transactions
2. Payment Authorization
- Payments are securely processed through the ANZ eGate Hosted Payment Page.
- MauriMeals does not store or retain customer card details on its servers.
- Orders will only be confirmed after successful payment authorization by the payment gateway.
- In cases where payment authorization fails, the order will not be processed.
3. Pricing and Service Fees
- Prices displayed on the platform are provided by participating restaurants and may change without prior notice.
- Additional charges may apply, including:
- Delivery fees
- Service charges
- Applicable taxes or government fees
- MauriMeals may apply a marketplace commission or platform fee as part of the final order total.
4. Delivery and Pickup
- Estimated delivery and pickup times are provided for guidance only and may vary depending on:
- Weather conditions
- Traffic
- Restaurant preparation times
- Availability of delivery personnel
- MauriMeals is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control.
5. Cancellations and Refunds
- Orders may only be cancelled before the restaurant begins food preparation.
- Once preparation has started, cancellations and refunds may be limited or unavailable.
- Refund requests relating to incorrect, missing, damaged, or poor-quality orders will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis in accordance with MauriMeals refund policies.
6. Customer Responsibilities
Customers agree to:
- Provide accurate delivery and contact information
- Ensure sufficient funds are available for payment
- Be available to receive orders upon delivery
- Use the platform lawfully and respectfully
7. Restaurant Responsibilities
Participating restaurants are responsible for:
- Accurate menu descriptions and pricing
- Food quality and hygiene standards
- Timely preparation of orders
- Compliance with local food safety regulations
8. Platform Availability
MauriMeals aims to maintain uninterrupted access to its services; however, the platform may occasionally experience downtime due to:
- System maintenance
- Internet disruptions
- Third-party service outages
- Technical issues beyond MauriMeals' control
9. Fraud Prevention and Security
MauriMeals reserves the right to suspend accounts, decline transactions, or report suspicious activities where fraudulent, abusive, or unauthorized use of the platform is suspected.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- MauriMeals acts as a marketplace facilitator connecting customers and restaurants.
- MauriMeals is not directly responsible for food preparation, ingredient quality, or restaurant operations.
- Liability for food-related issues remains with the respective restaurant partner.
11. Amendments
MauriMeals reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
